On our iPads, battery life seems to have taken a severe hit after installation of 9.3.3. For example, one was at 97% before bedtime and 3% the next morning, with "Battery" showing only "Home and Lock Screen" as the culprits. Is this common?

No it is not. I suggest you reset the device by holding the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears.

Can't say if it's common or not, but my two iPads do not show this behavior... Anything strange in Settings >> Battery?
Nothing new: in fact, all optimized for battery life (e.g., no Background Refresh, no Location Services, no Bluetooth, and on, and on...) and nothing changed after install of iOS update.
OK. Will try. Thanks for the reminder. (I guess I had thought restart via iOS update would've accomplished the same.)

Done. (Most done *before* update.) I don't intend to downgrade as this problem has affected only one of our iPads, not both. (Curious, eh?)
Yep, done. After five six hours (a day of hard labor spent helping mother-in-law move into assisted living ) no battery loss! Still at 100% from morning charge. Fingers crossed.

Well, I have 2 iPhones (a 6 plus and 5s) and 6 iPads (2-12.9 Pros, 1-9.7 Pro, 1-Air 2, !-Air, 1-mini 2) and they all have appreciably slower battery life. I am one of these people who only rarely lets his iThing get below 50% battery - and boy domI see a change. I try a reset, but am skeptical. I may just wait for the next release. if there was an easy way to do it, I would put all back on iOs 9.3.2. It is that bad.
Same issue but on my iPhone. Safari is the culprit on mine and it's just draining the battery. Even baffled 2 employees at the Apple store. PLEASE someone at Apple look at this!
